An improved performance against one the leagues early pace setters, but OW's are still searching for their first 'real' win.
Having lost 11 2 last week, to Wednesbury, we faced Newport, who beat Wednesbury 10 1. A tough task, 2 0 down after 10 mins , against what was a young and talented midfield and attack. We rallied and battled hard, but were 3 0 down at half time.
Sadly the second half started the same as the first 5 0 down after 5 mins of the 2nd half .again the team battled hard, finally losing 7 0. But stupid though it sounds a good effort against very strong opposition.
Special mention to Young Will, who is growing in confidence since his debut. A little harsh to be awarded a green card but it’s all part of the adult game.
