2 goals up in the first 5 minutes against table top chasing Newport and a third for Gary O Sullivans for his hattrick on 27, was not enough to prevent OW from their second successive heavy defeat.
First half in which OW dominated the first 10 minutes only to be pegged back and go in at half time 5-3 down. A first half that saw Wulf’s play some nice stuff and a half that ncluded two first half hatricks one for each team.
Second half Wulf’s held firm for 10 minutes, before finally succumbing to s barrage of pressure and conceeding goals a further 6 in total. Newport were younger, more skilful and more hungry for the win. While Newport dimly have there sights on Market Drayton, this result leaves Old Wulf’s precariously looking over their shoulder.
The result leaves 3rds one place and 2 points off the bottom.
