Facing a Sutton side chasing promotion, this was always going to be a hard game. We knew of their threat from speed and aerial balls, and with a makeshift defence we were going to have to work hard.
However, we started the better side, and for large passages of play we dominated the game. Creating a lot of chances, we just couldn't find the net. A PC saw Sutton snatch the lead before half time, but Old Wulfs were well in the game.
However, it wasn't to be. A fortunate second for Sutton came from a counter attack, and then a couple more. We did not give up, and got a couple of goals care of Si, but ultimately not converting chances cost us, and our legs were gone on the last 15.
Scoreline again didn't reflect the performance, and we have a lot of positives to take with us to a winnable match at Satisfied next week.
